SUPPORT WCM: JOIN US ON THE CROP WALK
Help raise money for the Wilkinsburg Community Ministry and fight world hunger: Join us on the annual Crop Walk.
On Sunday October 10, 2010, walkers from many different churches andorganizations will follow a 10K course through the East End of Pittsburgh to raise funds for Church World Service to fight hunger in our community and around the world. Of the total money raised, 15% will go to WCM’s hunger programs and 10% will go to those of the East End Cooperative Ministry.
Crop Walk is neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world. Sign-up and start raising money.
WHEN: October 10, 2010
WHERE: 733 South Ave (South Avenue United Methodist Church)
TIME: Registration begins at 1pm; Walk begins at 2pm.
DISTANCE: 10 kilometers, approximately 6.5 miles. Walk time 2.5 hours. We will be walking from Wilkinsburg to Squirrel Hill and back.
